The Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) Google Team has developed an employee training program consisting of live webinars and in-person trainings to troubleshoot questions and learn time-saving tips that will enhance your G Suite experience. All state Google users can take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!

Tuesday, February 19 at 1:00 p.m. - Introduction to Google Docs

Do you need a better way to collaborate more efficiently on documents with your team? Look no further than Google Docs! This hour long course will introduce Google Docs, including how to create, share, and collaborate in a Doc. This training will also introduce advanced features in Docs like the Activity Dashboard and Add Ons. Whether you are new to Docs or have been using Docs for a while, this course is for you!

Thursday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. - What is This...Google Cloud Platform?

Maybe you’ve heard of it talking with your IT Director or from a colleague working with OIT on a project, but what is Google Cloud Platform? In this hour, come learn a general overview of what Google Cloud Platform is, its major facets, and how it’s being used across the state and around the world! If you’ve ever wondered what Google Cloud Platform is or use cases, this overview is for you! (hint: Google Cloud Platform are not cirrus)

WHAT: To support the newest Windows 10 version and upcoming McAfee Endpoint Security products, the McAfee Agent on all systems will be upgraded.
WHEN: The upgrade will happen beginning Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. and continue until Friday, January 25, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. If you would like to add this to your calendar, please click here. Prior to saving the event you will need to modify the Reminder to 1 day.
DO I NEED TO TAKE ACTION?: Yes, please leave your computer connected to the network as much as possible during the week of the upgrade. Some users may be prompted to restart their computer once the upgrade finishes. If you do not receive the prompt you do not need to restart. WHAT: To help you get answers to your questions about G Suite, the Google Team is launching a G Suite Training extension for all users on the Chrome browser.
The G Suite Training extension exists as an icon in the top right of Chrome, and provides contextual training for G Suite. When you are in any Google application, you can click on the question mark and get short lessons on how to work in that application. The extension will recommend lessons, or you can type in keywords to get training on a specific function. Watch a brief demonstration of the G Suite Training Extension
